Sneak Peak: Vivek Oberoi-Priyanka Alva Wedding/Marriage Preparations

Vivek ki aayegi baarat: The big fat Oberoi-Alva wedding takes off with Karva Chauth. Celebrations are in full swing at the Alva residence with guests have started arriving since Tuesday. Vivek Oberoi, parents Suresh and Yashodhara Oberoi, sister and guests from both the families are staying at the Chancery Pavilion. Forty rooms have been booked for them, of which 20 are occupied.

We have learnt that the bride Priyanka Alva will be wearing a Tarun Tahiliani creation on the big day. Vivek arrived at the Chancery Pavilion on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and was seen having lunch of fried rice and Okra curry by the poolside at around 2.30 p.m. with friends and relatives. He was wearing a blue-grey T-shirt. Two ladies from the bride's family were seen taking care of the guests. The proud father, Suresh Oberoi, looking fresh in a light green kurta and cream-coloured pajama was checking on the arrangements made for the wedding guests at the desk set up at the hotel lobby. Vivek was seen leaving for the Alva residence at 6 p.m. Around 100 VVIPs are expected for the wedding. The family has asked for security for Oct 28-29.

Meanwhile, the action is happening at the Alva residence, where all the wedding events will be held. The basketball court has been set up for the lunch and dinner on all the days.

» Everybody headed to dinner at the basketball court at around 7 p.m.

Oct 27 Upanayanam ceremony of Aditya Alva, younger brother of Priyanka (It is apparently a Sindhi tradition, so that he can attend the wedding)
