Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday arrived in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi and inaugurated the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crore. PM Modi dedicated to people the ambitious Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in the heart of Varanasi after offering prayers at the ancient temple that draws a massive number of visitors from India and abroad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also witnessed ‘Ganga Aarti’ in Varanasi. Shiv Deepotsav is being celebrated today in the city.

The prime minister, along with Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other senior BJP leaders, inaugurated the first phase of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project, which will connect the Kashi Vishwanath temple and Ganga ghats, in his constituency Varanasi on Monday.

India's Harnaaz Sandhu is Miss Universe 2021

Actor-model Harnaaz Sandhu has been crowned Miss Universe 2021, beating contestants from 79 other countries to bring home the title after 21 years. It is the first time India has won Miss Universe since Lara Dutta claimed the crown in 2000. Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira was first runner-up and South Africa's Lalela Mswane was named second runner-up at the competition held in Eilat, Israel.
