Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor exchanged vows on Tuesday by exchanging rings and garlands. The bride wore her ma-in-law Sharmila Tagore's traditional gharara and made up-to-date for the occasion, the final fitting of which was done by Manish Malhotra. In the afternoon, close friend and designer Manish Malhotra and his team helped Kareena get ready for her big night. Later, she changed into a lehenga, which she wore till early morning to the after-party at a Mumbai five-star hotel. The groom wore a brocade achkan by designer Raghavendra Rathore.
The nikaah was attended by family and friends. Some, like Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora Khan and Manish Malhotra, have been at most of the functions so far. Others, like cousin Ranbir Kapoor, distant relative Sonam Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri, were seen at the festivities for the first time this week.
Manish Malhotra has tweeted a picture of himself at Saif and Kareena's nikaah ceremony held after their court wedding today (16th Oct 2012) at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai.
