Kapil Sharma on fight with Sunil Grover: I shouted at him for the first time in 5 years
Kapil Sharma has written a long Facebook post describing his cordial relationship with Grover who shot to fame with Comedy Nights With Kapil, their previous stint together on Colors.
Stand-up comedian and host of The Kapil Sharma Show has gone into damage control after rumours of a key actor Sunil Grover quitting the show surfaced, following a spat between them.
Sunil plays Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi in the hugely popular show.
In a long Facebook post, Kapil Sharma described his cordial relationship with Grover who shot to fame with Comedy Nights With Kapil, their previous stint together on Colors channel.
Later, Kapil got into an argument with the channel management and is doing his current show for Sony.
“Hi.. good morning friends .. was celebrating my best time n suddenly I heard a news about me n Sunil paji fighting..,” his post read.
“First of all see where it is coming from.. what r the intentions behind this.. if I fought with him in the flight then who saw it n informed u.. is he trustworthy..? Some people enjoy these kind of stuff...,” he said.
“We eat together.. we travel together.. I meet my brother once in a year.. (but am) spending almost every day with my team... specially Sunil... I love him.. I respect him.. yes I had to argue with him. But r we not normal people..? I shouted at him first time in 5 years... itna toh chalta hai bhai,” he said in the post.
This isn’t the first time when Sharma has had a public tiff with Grover. At an earlier occasion, Grover decided to do his own show titled Mad In India on Star Plus. It was said that Sharma, also the producer of Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma, refused to give Grover a salary hike.
The two comedians have always been compared in terms of their respective popularity among fans.
On Saturday, news surfaced that Kapil verbally abused and physically assaulted Sunil on a return flight from Australia where they had gone for a celebrity tour.
Reports claimed that Sharma was drunk when this happened. Grover kept his calm and tried to cool things down. However, sources close to Grover later told DNA that he has decided to quit the show.
