SRK Spoke at the Event:
At the inaugural session of 'FICCI FRAMES-2010', Shahrukh Khan eloquently spoke about the things Bollywood can learn from its bigger cousin across the Atlantic, Hollywood.

According to SRK, Indian filmmakers should learn screenplay writing techniques, visual effects and discipline in doing movie business from Hollywood. However, we should do it without losing our own unique style.

“Learning Hollywood screenplay and technology is not about losing the intrinsic quality of our stories. We have to maintain our own cinematic individuality,” SRK said while adding that writing screenplay is more of a science than an art.

Stressing the need to incorporate better technology in Bollywood, SRK said what’s needed foremost are competent technicians who can handle state-of-the-art equipment.

“The big investment we are looking for from Hollywood is the training of mechanics for running machines for visual effects. We need to develop people who can make us our own cheaper, better and faster softwares for filmmaking and have a special branch of trained visual effect teams and talent here (in India),” SRK said.

The superstar also insisted on a symbiotic relationship between Bollywood and Hollywood.

“The time has come to have a symbiotic relationship where we can both feed off the knowledge that we have instead of just the monies,” SRK observed.
