Actor Salman Khan's NGO, Being Human, will have exclusive stores and shop-in-shops selling a range of merchandise from February, starting with a signature clothing line. Deals are in place for stores abroad, and a national roll out is on the agenda, according to Ms Kim Saldanha, Vice-President – Marketing, Customer Centria, the agency mandated to build the brand “Being Human.” The launch of stores will be accompanied by the official Web site beinghumanonline.com exclusively selling the merchandise. Currently, T-shirts under the label are sold through bookmyshow.com, and watches through another partner via beinghumanwatches.com . Offline, T-shirts are currently sold through Cotton World outlets, but that will cease once the Being Human stores are in business. Heroine - written and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar is a film revolves around the life of a once successful film actress Mahi Khanna, whose career is on the decline. It is a “contemporary film which reveals the underbelly of the movie industry and its well-kept secrets.” Heroine stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead.

The Dirty Picture had a strong start at the box office as it opened to 60-65% collections on average at multiplexes. The film was best in and around the Maharashtra area where the opening was 80%. Nizam was also very good with around 75%. Delhi and Punjab opened to around 50-60% while Gujarat and Mysore were on the lower side. West Bengal also managed a good opening which is rare as not many films open well there. The presence of Emraan Hasmi has helped the film as he has a strong following in many mass pockets in the country and with multiplexes and single screens doing well it could turn out to be a very good first day. The opening compares well with last weeks Desi Boyz and the film could put similar opening day collections or even better than that film despite a smaller release.
