Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi exchanged wedding vows with former miss universe Lara Dutta in an intimate Christian ceremony at the sunset point of the erstwhile Portuguese fort of Aguada in Goa. The wedding was mostly attended by family and close friends; amongst the attendees were Mahesh’s Davis Cup team members - Leander Paes, Somdev Devvarman and Rohan Bopanna. Lara Dutta and tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi have become man and wife after a registered marriage on Wednesday, 16 February, 2011. A marriage registrar came to the tennis star’s Bandra home to legalise the marriage. Lara was attired in a cream and gold saree while Mahesh was in a grey jacket and white shirt. Over the weekend, the two were rehearsing for their sangeet, and Bhupathi’s BBM status read, ‘Wedding bells’. Celebrations kick start with a registered wedding in Goa on February 17. For this, Lara will wear a white outfit from designer Ritu Kumar’s Falaknama collection.
