Pictures: Salman Khan rings in Christmas with Karishma, Kareena and Saif Ali Khan

Salman Khan joined Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor for Christmas celebrations.

Celebrations during Christmas is an annual affair for the Kapoors. Every year, Kareena Kapoor and sister Karisma Kapoor are spotted during the midnight mass in Mumbai. But this time around, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan of Bollywood gave the Kapoors some company during the celebrations. Salman Khan was seen partying with Kareena, Karisma and Saif Ali Khan on Christmas eve.
Karisma took to Instagram to share the pictures from the party.

Salman, who has shared screen space with Kareena and Karisma in a handful of films, came to party with his gang. The Wanted actor was also joined by Amrita Arora, Soha Ali Khan and husband Kunal Kemmu.

This picture of Salman and Saif in one frame says a lot about their patch up. Salman and Bebo have known to be great friends, but the Kick actor did not share the same rapport with Saif. In an interview, Saif had said that things had gone sour between the two actors. However, it seems the two Khans have finally decided to bury the hatchet.

Actress Sadhana Shivdasani passes away

Veteran actress Sadhana Shivdasani passed away today morning. The actress who completed 74 years of age this September, was reportedly admitted to the Hinduja hospital. Fans and admirers of the actress have taken to social media to express their remorse. The actress was detected with a tumor and had been battling cancer for a very long time. In December last year, the lady underwent an emergency surgery for a bleeding oral lesion. A close family friend and BJP city spokesperson Shaina N.C. confirmed the news to IANS saying, "Sadhana breathed her last at her home this morning."

Shivdasani featured in numerous films through her career. Her fame to claim being 'Love In Simla'. She also appeared in popular films like 'Parakh,' 'Hum Dono,' 'Shree 420,' 'Mere Mehboob,' 'Waqt' and 'Woh Kaun Thi.'

More than her films, however, the actress is till date remembered for the legendary front bangs she sported, a hair cut which is now commonly referred to as the Sadhana cut. The bangs were, in fact supported by the actress in order to cover her unusually large (as she thought) forehead.

Our prayers and condolences with the actress' family. May her soul rest in peace!

Don't see a love triangle happening in my life; I am a really amazing boyfriend: Ranveer Singh

Mumbai: Garnering rave views for his recently released film "Bajirao Mastani", which has a love triangle, actor Ranveer Singh says he does not see any such thing happening in his real life.

"I have tremendous clarity about my life choices... I don't see the triangle situation happening in my life. I don't see it arising in life. I still stand by that I am a really amazing boyfriend," Ranveer, who is rumoured to be dating her ‘Bajirao Mastani’ co-star Deepika Padukone, told PTI in an interview.

Since the two actors started working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Ram Leela’, the duo has often been seen together at parties, events and screening of films. But, both have never come on record to talk about their relationship.

Bhansali's latest magnum opus has a love triangle – with Deepika as Bajirao's second wife Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as first wife Kashi Bai, both in love with Peshwa Bajirao.

The ‘Ram Leela’ actor has had a good run at the box office with films like ‘Dil Dhadakane Do’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’. His next ‘Befikre’ is with ace director Aditya Chopra.

"I am happy that my popularity is increasing here and in the international market with every film. It is an important aspect to have for star value and commercial standing," Ranveer said.

"I want to solidify it as it empowers my career choices, so that I can make brave choices. I want to make bold, brave and creative choices," he said.

Asked if he sees himself as the most bankable actor among the younger generation, the 30-year-old actor said, "That is not my thing to judge, it is for the audience, trade and
critics to decide. I can't say it for myself."

Aditya Chopra overwhelmed watching 'Bajirao Mastani'

Mumbai: Director-producer Aditya Chopra was at loss of words after watching ‘Bajirao Mastani’, reveals actor Ranveer Singh.
Chopra is to direct Ranveer in ‘Befikre’, which will mark the filmmaker's first directorial venture after 2008 romance ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’.

"He (Aditya Chopra) has seen 'Bajirao Mastani'. I don't think he likes me to tell people what he tells me. For the first time, I found him... we were talking over phone... He was fumbling for words. He was unable to find words. He did not know what to say. He was very proud," Ranveer said in an interview here.

The 30-year-old actor also said that megastar Amitabh Bachchan has sent him a letter praising his performance in the historical drama, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

"Today morning, I received my first award for 'Bajirao Mastani'. A handwritten note from Mr Bachchan. Among young actors like Parineeti Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut it's all become a thing...'Have you got it' (the letter from) (sic)," he said.

Ranveer said Big B's letter has become a sort of "barometer" for performances.

"It's become a barometer for performances. Whenever I get a note from Mr Bachchan, I get it framed and keep it in my bank locker," he added.

YRF: Kriti Sanon was NEVER offered Salman Khan’s Sultan!

The only question on everyone’s minds, with regards to Salman Khan’s Sultan is who will be playing his leading lady. The film has already finished its first schedule but it’s still not been announced who will play Salman’s heroine in the film.

Many names were floating in the media and most importantly Parineeti Chopra and Kriti Sanon were considered the strongest contenders for the same. But while Pari lost out midway, it was speculated that Kriti will indeed sign the film.

The production house has now sent out an official release stating that Sultan won’t star Kriti at all. “Kriti Sanon was never offered Sultan. The actress was not approached or engaged by YRF. So the question of ‘Kriti Sanon refusing to sign contract with YRF for Sultan role’ does not arise thus making this news completely untrue and misleading,” the release stated.

So now it can be told that it won’t be Kriti as well opposite Salman in the film. And the hunt for the heroine is still on!

Salman is not marrying Iulia, she is just a friend – Ashley Rebello (Salman’s personal stylist)

The grapevine has always been abuzz with talks of Salman Khan and Romanian TV personality Iulia Vantur being in a relationship. And some time back, there was a rumour doing the rounds that Salman Khan is secretly engaged to Iulia.

But later the actor rubbished all the rumours by saying, "There is a lot of buzz about a lot of things about me, which is never true. Yes, I read what is written, hear what is said, and my right answer to your question would be that I am indifferent to all of it. The small things don't bother me at all, but they bother my parents. And that really bothers me."

And now Salman's personal stylish and designer Ashley Rebello has opened up on Salman and Iulia's relationship. According to a report in Pinkvilla, he said, "Salman is not going to do any such thing on his birthday, I can write it in blood and give it to you. What rubbish people are writing. Iulia is just a friend and not his girlfriend. Salman is not marrying her. No way. If there was any plan of him getting engaged on Valentine's, or him making an announcement on his birthday, wouldn't he have told me in advance so that I could have designed some clothes for him for the special occasion? People see him with a girl and start speculating. Salman is commitment-phobic."

Salman has always been linked to leading ladies such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. But earlier when the actor was asked about his marriage plans, he told IANS, "Marriages are not for lifetime now. Times have changed. It is about 'temporary shaadi' (wedding) now."

On the work front, Salman Khan will be seen as a wrestler from Haryana in his upcoming film Sultan. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is scheduled to release on Eid next year.

Salim Khan: Turning 50 is not a big deal for Salman Khan

It was a year of highs and lows for Salman Khan. While on one hand, his maiden production 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' was a roaring hit, on the other, his decade-old hit-and-run case finally saw a temporary closure after a series of complications.

As Sallu turns 50 on December 27, we hear that the actor will host an intimate gathering for close friends and family at his Panvel farmhouse. Talking about his son's big day, daddy Salim Khan told us, "I have been in this industry for 55 years and Salman for the last 25 years. The friends we've made on our journey and people we've worked with, will call and bless him. It will be a regular party, where friends and family will come together. He has seen so many of these silver jubilee parties and special days that he doesn't need a special bash for this one. Age is after all just a number and turning 50 is not a big deal for him."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Salman Khan is still upset about things that I don’t know about:

An interview with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Bajirao Mastani is doing great business despite competition from Dilwale, is there a sense of validation?
There is a sense of joy more than validation. The first and most important reason why a filmmaker makes a film is to show it to people so they get something out of it creatively. And when it translates into box-office figures, that is a moment of joy. And honestly, I don’t really know anything about any other film competing with it. When you realise your cherished dream and that it has reached people with that same sense of madness and passion and love you are supposed to fulfil it with, that is more important. So, for me, the hard work has paid off, the inspired state that I was in, has paid off.

Were you nervous when you realised your film was clashing with an SRK release ?
We announced our film first and we announced it with the star cast and with the release date a year and a half ago. Dilwale was never in the picture. Six months later, we got to know there is a film coming on the same date, I had a nice friendly conversation about the clash with Shah Rukh, who’s a very dear friend. Later, I realised that neither Eros or Shah Rukh wanted to move the date, so one does move on. But I never made the film out of fear of what the other film would be like, because they are two different genres, two different directors and approaches. I am coming with the madness of fulfilling my dream and to mount a film of this proportion wasn’t an easy task. My focus was always to get my scenes right. It was never about somebody coming one week after me, or with me. You can’t work in a state of fear.

Given the amount of hard work that went, don’t you wish the audience wasn’t given a choice and just watched Bajirao Mastani?
I wish, that would be the ideal condition. That is how a film like this which is made as a tribute to how Pakeezah, Mughal-e-Azam, Raj Kapoor’s films and V Shantaram’s films should be watched. It is not my film, it is a tribute to all the brilliant minds that work together to say this is what Bollywood is known in the West for. So, yes, when a film like this is made once in 20 years, you would want the audience to see it uninterrupted, undisturbed, but now it has happened and there’s nothing one can do about it.

There were rumours that you were planning to change the release date mid way, is that true?
Not at all. The decision to release on December 18 was always Kishore Lulla’s (Eros) and he said it is never to be moved. And I asked him before the first teaser came out in August if he wanted us to release on December 18 and he said yes. That we were not moving that date. Yes, there was speculation that we were shifting, but I have no idea where it came from.

Did you miss Salman and Kareena, given the fact that they were your original Bajirao and Mastani?
I love Salman and Kareena and the idea of making the film with them was fabulous. That idea excited me immensely. But it didn’t work out, the destiny of every film is with the chosen actor. Many people believed that this film was jinxed, that it would never happen, that it didn’t have the blessings of the right people. I feel when the real Bajirao Mastani’s souls blessed the film. it happened. They are great people with that aura, who must have wanted this film to happen.

How did you see Bajirao in Ranveer?
That’s the fun of it, when I see someone and decide to cast him in a role that no one could have imagined, that excites me. The unexpected excites me, it keep me simulated. It was interesting to cast Ranveer and tell him to shave his head off and tell him to play a Maratha warrior. He is a wonderful actor, he is like clay you can do anything with him.

Ranveer told me you have changed his life forever. What’s your equation like with him...
I feel the relationship is so spontaneous and yet, so quiet. It has much respect in it. There is also surrender and freedom. There is lot of love and respect from both of us towards each other and the freedom is more important. Like I have given him this scene on the set and now let me see how he interprets it. I don’t impose myself on him, I just guide him and then I expect total surrender. Something that Ranveer knows very well. We don’t talk too much, we don’t discuss too much, we don’t meet too often. I have had this chemistry with Rani and Salman — you have to love the actor. I had that with Aishwarya and now Deepika. Deepika is my greatest joy in Bajirao Mastani. If Guru Dutt had seen Bajirao Mastani he would pat her on the back. That is Waheeda Rahman’s legacy but Deepika took it ahead and portrayed it so effortlessly — fragile yet power-packed. It is the most dignified performance of all time — after Waheeda Rahman in any Guru Dutt flm.

You mentioned Rani and Aishwarya as some of your favourite people to work with. Will we see you working with them in the future ?
I feel that but I also feel that some magic has to remain what it was, as you can’t recreate that. But these people are very special. A lot people feel I am rude, arrogant, disinterested, but I am the other side. I love all the people I have worked with, be it Rani who loves me, Aishwarya who I never need to say a word to and she’s there for me. With Salman I had that too but Salman is still upset about a few things which I don’t know about, but those moments are special. Now Ranveer has come into that space for me.

You have stopped wearing black kurtas and now I see you in white all the time. How come ?
You noticed it! (laughs) I am feeling happier, brighter. I want to change a few things in my life, I want to become more accessible, reach out to more directors, talk to them, sit and have tea with them. I have never done any of these things, I have always remained quiet in my room.

How do you react to these allegations that you are a very difficult and temperamental person to work with — you throw phones at actors etc.
This is not true at all. My actors never. I am only upset with my crew while brainstorming or arguing about something. It’s just that when I leave the car and land up on my set, I am alert, I am on a different level, my work takes over and I become this person who can see things differently. So when I am working with you, then you need to match up. If you are going to drop coffee on my script or tear my paper then I am going to get upset. So that much anger you should allow me. And if that is being made into a notion that he’s temperamental and throws phones then it’s wrong.

Talk to me about the influence of your pet Lady Popo in your life, she finds a place in your credit roll..
Lady Popo is the actual catalyst in my life, she changed my whole thinking. If I get angry and and come home she starts pawing me, so I bring my voice down. So I stopped shouting, talking loudly, getting angry. Lady Popo has changed my entire life and she comes to my office every day, sits on edit every day, she would come on shooting one in a while, but her atmosphere and vibe brings change in office.

Any plans to celebrate the success? What’s next ?
No celebration. I am just very pensive, quiet. Lots of love and admiration coming my way which I am enjoying.

Shah Rukh Khan Says "Watch out for 'Fan, 'If you're looking for novelty"

New Delhi: 'Dilwale', with its elements of comedy, action, romance and drama, has turned out to be a true-blue commercial Bollywood potboiler. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says the film never 'pretended' to be something else, and if audiences want a novel concept, they should wait for 'Fan'.

"If you're looking for novelty, then you should watch out for 'Fan'. It's a different kind of film, supposed to be a niche... It's not meant to be a blockbuster releasing ahead of Christmas," Shah Rukh said.

'Fan', directed by Maneesh Sharma, features Shah Rukh as Gaurav, a fan of Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar.
The actor-producer believes that 'films and storytelling are novel in the storytelling of it, unless you have a completely niche or offbeat subject, and you take a subject not touched upon'.

For 'Dilwale', he was clear that it was meant to be an 'in-the-face' commercial entertainer. Directed by Rohit Shetty, who's known for his stylish action and comic scenes, the movie has impressed Bollywood buffs, primarily SRK's fans.

Starring Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever, 'Dilwale', released on Friday.

Shah Rukh says the film was clearly made within the "parameters that are clearly defined for a commercial film".

"'Dilwale' is an unabashedly popular commercial film. It's not pretending to be something else. It's meant to be watched by everyone -- it has romance, comedy, drama. I don't even think that having Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan is a novelty factor as it's just that we are doing a film together after a long time.

"Within that scape, if you're looking for something, then Rohit Shetty has not had much a love-based storyline or relationship aspect in his films as he is more known for action and comedy. That will be novelty for Rohit. But if you ask me generically, no 'Dilwale' is not reinventing cinema. It's a fun commercial movie."

Salman Khan’s Sultan Heroine Will be TV Actress Mrunal Thakur from Kumkum Bhagya ?

Kumkum Bhagya’s Mrunal Thakur to star in Salman Khan’s Sultan?

The makers of Salman Khan's upcoming movie 'Sultan' are having a tough time in finalizing the film's leading lady. After rumours of Deepika Padukone, Parineeti Chopra, Kriti Sanon and most recently Bigg Boss 9 contestant Mandana Karimi, sources say that Zee TV's popular show Kumkum Bhagya's actress Mrunal Thakur has been approached for the same.

Mrunal, who plays the role of Bulbul in 'Kumkum Bhagya' has been approached to play one of the two heroines in 'Sultan'. As per the latest reports, the popular actress quit her show since the plot of the show revolved around two lead characters and her character became stagnant. The timing of her exit from the show raised our curiosity levels.

Sources say that 'Sultan' is not the first film offered to Mrunal. She was also approached for Aamir Khan's 'Dangal'. Nothing can be commented as the actress is keeping quiet on this development.

The names of a number of actresses floated around, but nothing has been finalised yet. We are still working on it and an announcement will be made soon. We have begun shooting so that we meet our deadline as the release date has already been announced and we do not want to delay the project," said a source working on the project.

Sooraj Barjatya Miffed with Ekta Kapoor, Contemplating legal action for Using Name in 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3'

Sooraj Barjatya is believed to be contemplating taking legal action against Ekta Kapoor's upcoming adult comedy 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3' for using his name without permission

If sources are to be believed, the recently released trailer of Ekta Kapoor's 'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3', which is abundantly laced with adult humour, has got Sooraj Barjatya's goat. The filmmaker, who is known for his brand of clean family entertainers, is said to be upset over his name being used in the sex comedy. Sources close to him say he is planning to take legal action against the makers.

Says a source, "After the trailer released, one of Barjatya's assistant directors informed him about references being made to him and asked him to watch it. He is upset that his name has been used without permission." In the trailer, actress Mandana Karimi talks about introducing her reel beau Tusshar Kapoor to her father, who is all about sanskaar and family values. Tusshar then says, "Tumhare daddy Sooraj Barjatya ke filmon ke babuji jaise honge pata nahin tha." Mandana then replies, "Mere daddy Barjatya nahin, Karjatya hain. Surya Karjatya."

Barjatya is also unhappy with the way the title of his 1994 blockbuster 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' is referred to as 'Hum Aapke Hai Porn', adds the source: "The assistant director has conveyed Barjatya's response to the makers of the sex comedy."

Aman Gill, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures (Ekta's production house), explains that it has been done only for the sake of humour and to raise a few chuckles. "'Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3' is a comedy that is meant to tickle the funny bones of the audience with various spoofs. In no way are we trying to hurt anyone's sentiments," he adds.

While Barjatya remained unavailable for comment, a senior member of his production house informs us that he is planning to initiate legal action if references to him and his films are not deleted from the 'porn com'.
When we asked Gill what the production house will do in case they are slapped with a legal notice, he simply replied,

"The film has done spoofs on many films and does not intends to insult anyone."

Azharuddin: News about my third marriage is incorrect and false

“News about my 3rd marriage is incorrect and false. Please check facts before publishing,” he tweeted.

Mohd Azharuddin and Shannon Marie during the International Premier Tennis League match between Indian Aces and Philippine Mavericks in New Delhi last Thursday.

The denial came after reports that Azhar married his friend Shannon Marie, an American citizen.
According to a report in Maharashtra Times, Azhar introduced Shannon as his wife when they visited the house of his driver Jaan Mohammed in Mumbai on Saturday to console the family. The driver recently died.
Spotted during an IPTL tie The 52-year-old was reportedly spotted with Shannon during IPTL match featuring the Indian aces and Philippine Mavericks in New Delhi.

Azhar, who played 99 Tests and 334 ODIs for India, first married Naureen, with whom he had two sons. In 1996, he divorced her to marry model-turned-actress Sangeeta Bijlani. The couple is believed to have separated in 2010.
Azhar, who shot to fame by hitting three consecutive centuries on debut in 1984-85, was one of the most successful captains.

His career ended in disgrace in 2000 when he was banned for life from playing the game for his involvement in match fixing. Though the court lifted the ban in 2012, Azhar’s career was already over.

Bollywood playback singer Ankit Tiwari charged with rape

Special Women's Court judge frames charges against singer Ankit Tiwari in 2014 case. Singer was accused of rape under the pretext of marriage by a 28-year-old woman
On Saturday afternoon, Special Women’s Court judge A S Shende framed charges against playback singer Ankit Tiwari. In May 2014, he was accused of rape by a 28-year-old woman, who alleged that he had raped her repeatedly between October 2012 and December 2013, but assuaged her by saying he would marry her.

When he didn’t keep the promise, she filed a complaint at the Versova police station. The woman also accused the singer’s brother Ankur Tiwari of threatening her. Ankit, who was arrested on May 9, 2014, was let out on bail on May 22, 2014.

On Saturday, he was present in court with his two brothers. He has been charged under sections 376 (rape), 493 (cohabitation caused by a man deceitfully inducing a belief of lawful marriage), 417 (cheating) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. Charges were also framed against Ankur.

The next hearing is slated for February 5, 2016. It’s expected that the first witness in the case will depose then. In January this year, Tiwari’s lawyers had filed a plea in the High Court asking that the case be squashed as the complainant and the accused had decided to settle the matter. However, speaking to SUNDAY mid-day, one of Tiwari's defence lawyers, said, “We withdrew that application on Friday.

The HC has directed us to file a discharge application within 15 days. On Saturday, while the Sessions court was framing the charges, we informed them about the High Court order but the court said that it couldn’t adjourn the matter and framed the charges. We are now going to challenge the same in the HC.”

Remo Fernandes denies abusing minor girl, says the complain is 'fabricated'

Panaji: A day after he was booked for verbally abusing a minor girl at a hospital, 'O meri munni' singer Remo Fernandes on Saturday claimed that the accusations made against him were fake and the complaint fabricated.

The Padma Shri award winner, who is in Europe, has also hinted at a possible defamation case against the complainant.

"The accusations are all false, a total distortion and fabrication of the facts. However, much against my wishes, I have been advised to refrain from coming out with a rebuttal at this stage. I would rather let the law take its course," Remo told IANS in an email on Saturday.

The Goa Police on Friday had booked Fernandes on the charge of verbally abusing a minor girl, who was injured by a car allegedly driven by his son on December 1.

According to the first information report filed by lawyer Aires Rodrigues, on behalf of the victim, Remo verbally abused her on December 3 in ward number 105 of the Goa Medical College in Bambolim, near here, where she was hospitalised for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.

The FIR was filed under the Goa Children's Act, a special legislation specifically dealing with crimes against children in Goa.

On December 1, an FIR was filed against Remo's son Jonah at the Mapusa police station in north Goa on charge of rash driving and causing hurt.

Remo calls the complaint as well as the accusations against him slanderous and said that he reserves the liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings.

"I do however reserve the liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings, both before the Civil and Criminal Forums, against all individuals, and specifically against Aires Rodrigues, for the material alleged against me and my son, which has clear de
