Bollywood star Salman Khan rang in his 51st birthday Tuesday with a grand celebration with his family members and friends at his farmhouse in Panvel, Mumbai. The party was held Monday evening and photographs from the celebration made their way to social media. Looking dapper in a black shirt and formal pants, Salman was all smiles. He cut the cake with his nephew Ahil, son of the actor’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma. Actor Salman Khan's NGO, Being Human, will have exclusive stores and shop-in-shops selling a range of merchandise from February, starting with a signature clothing line. Deals are in place for stores abroad, and a national roll out is on the agenda, according to Ms Kim Saldanha, Vice-President – Marketing, Customer Centria, the agency mandated to build the brand “Being Human.” The launch of stores will be accompanied by the official Web site beinghumanonline.com exclusively selling the merchandise. Currently, T-shirts under the label are sold through bookmyshow.com, and watches through another partner via beinghumanwatches.com . Offline, T-shirts are currently sold through Cotton World outlets, but that will cease once the Being Human stores are in business. Since December 2010, Cotton World has sold around 65,000 Being Human T-shirts. Rotomac has launched a “Being Human” line of pens, ranging between Rs 20 and Rs 120. Through his Being Human foundation, he arranged for the distribution of food packets and clothing to around 1,500 people who lost their homes. Says a source, “ Salman wasted no time in rushing relief. He was extremely concerned about what had happened. As soon as he realised the magnitude of the loss, he told his volunteers to get going.” Adds the source, “ He was not keen to publicise that the aid was from Salman Khan. Salman Khan Pledges Bone Marrow to Help Blood Cancer Patients

Bollywood star Salman Khan's philanthropic side is well known and now the actor has gone ahead and pledged his bone marrow to help people suffering from life-threatening diseases. "Donating marrow is a simple act, it's as simple as donating blood. But this simple act can save the life of someone suffering from blood cancer, thalassemia and other major blood-related diseases," Salman said in a statement. Salman Khan "I am pledging my marrow with MDRI (Marrow Donor Registry of India) so that in an emergency, if a patient's sample matches mine, I can be reached to donate my marrow," the 44-year-old actor said. Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Congress MP Milind Deora have donated computers for the Maulana Azad School at Byculla in south-central Mumbai. The donation of 16 computers and other related equipment was made through Khan's non-government organisation (NGO) 'Being Human' and Deora's 'Sparsh'. Eleven hundred students from standard V-X would get benefit from the new computer classes, which would be held in the mornings and evenings, school authorities said today. The maintenance of the computers will also be undertaken by Khan and Deora's NGOs.

The 24 pieces have been conceptualised and designed by Salman himself and the money from their sale will support the causes of education and healthcare.
