While Dhanush demanded ₹ 10 crore in damages for allegedly using footage from a movie produced by him, Nayanthara responded with a scathing, three-page open letter and said she was "startled" that he claimed such a massive sum for "mere three seconds" of clips allegedly shot on "personal devices".

An all-out war has broken out between south cinema superstars Nayanthara and Dhanush over a three-second clip in a Netflix documentary.

Rs 10 Crore Legal Notice

Dhanush sent the ₹ 10-crore legal notice to the producers of the project after the trailer for 'Jawan' actor's upcoming documentary - Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale - was released online last week. The documentary allegedly has footage from the 2015 Tamil movie 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'. Nayanthara starred opposite Vijay Sethupathi in the movie which was produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films. The romantic comedy was written and directed by Nayanthara's husband and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.

In a strongly-worded open letter posted on social media, Nayanthara blasted Dhanush for refusing permission for the use of songs and visuals from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, a 2010 romantic comedy starring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi and produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films. The film was directed by Shivan.

In the letter posted on her Instagram handle, Nayanthara claimed the team behind the documentary waited for Dhanush's approval for the release but "finally decided to give up and settled for the current version" after he "declined" to permit the "usage of 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' songs or visual cuts despite multiple requests".

"An All-Time Low"

She also mentioned that many "industry well-wishers" contributed to the Netflix documentary "about me, my life, my love, and marriage".

"It sadly doesn't include the most special and important film, 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan'," Nayanthara said.

Dhanush has yet to respond to her letter.

The 39-year-old actor minced no words in criticising Dhanush for the "all-time low" and asserted she would be giving a "befitting" reply to the notice through lawful means.

"We were startled to read those lines wherein you questioned the usage of some videos (just three seconds) that were shot on our personal devices, and that too BTS visuals that are already very much publicly present on social media, and claimed a sum of ₹ 10 crore as damages for the mere three seconds," she said.

"This is an all-time low from you and speaks volumes about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray on stage at audio launches in front of your innocent fans, but clearly, you do not practice what you preach, at least not with me and my partner," the actor added.

Nayanthara claimed that Dhanush said "horrible things" about the film that was released nearly 10 years ago and that he continues to act "vile while wearing a mask in front of the world".

"I learned through film circles that your ego was supremely hurt after the film became a blockbuster. Your displeasure over its success was perceptible even to the common man through award functions connected with this film (Filmfare 2016)," she said.

Urging Dhanush to watch the documentary, Nayanthara said, "It is important to #SpreadLove, and I hope and pray that someday you are also fully capable of doing it and not just saying it".

Filmmaker Shivan has also stepped in to support his wife, sharing an old video of Dhanush on Instagram, where the actor spoke about positivity and the importance of living without hate.

The video clip, taken from the audio launch of the 2017 film Sakka Podu Podu Raja, shows Dhanush saying in Tamil, "The love we have for one should not turn into hate for another. If it changes, there is no meaning for that emotion. The world is going towards a pathetic condition. There is so much negativity. Nobody likes it if another person is doing good in life. Live and let live. Nobody should hate another person. If you like somebody, celebrate with them. If you don't like somebody, just move on."

The documentary is set to be released on November 18.

Abhishek Bachchan Makes First Appearance Amid Divorce Rumours With Aishwarya Rai

While rumours of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s divorce have been grabbing the headlines for quite some time, the speculations garnered more limelight after none of the Bachchan family members wished Ash on her birthday, which was on 1st November

The actor now attended the music launch of his upcoming film I Want To Talk, directed by Soojit Sircar. The actor said his potbelly wasn’t prosthetic but real.

Commenting on his pot-bellied look in the film, Abhishek Bachchan humorously said, “Don’t ever put on weight for a film again. Trust me, at my age, it gets very difficult to lose it after a while.”

“And that is me. That isn’t any prosthetic,” added Bachchan.

Salman Khan’s comment on Aishwarya and Abhishek’s Marriage Goes Viral Amid Divorce Rumours

Bollywood couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are currently facing divorce rumours. The speculations started when the two arrived separately in a lavish wedding event. Thereafter, Abhishek Bachchan liked a post on Instagram about grey divorces, further fuelling the fire. Before tying the knot with Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai was in a relationship with ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ co-star Salman Khan. Now, as divorce rumours surround Aishwarya and Abhishek, Salman Khan’s old comment on their marriage is going viral.

During that time, Salman and Aishwarya’s relationship attracted massive public interest. Reportedly, the duo broke up due to Salman’s possessive and abusive behaviour. While neither Aishwarya nor Salman directly addressed the issue, the ‘Dhoom’ actress did reveal facing harassment. However, she never delved deep into the issue.

In his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, the superstar was asked about the abuse allegations levied against him viz Aishwarya Rai. To this, the ‘Kick’ star replied, “Uske baare mein kya kahu sir. I just wish that, you know, I believe in one thing your personal life is your personal life. If I go to defend this, then sir, somewhere someone was a part of your life and you’d be denying it.”

As the conversation progressed, Salman Khan talked about his ex-girlfriend’s marriage to Abhishek Bachchan and praised the ‘Guru’ actor. “The best thing to do is stay silent. Itne saal beet gaye hai, you know, she is someone’s wife, married into a big family. I am very happy that she is married to Abhishek. I think Abhishek is a great guy. This is the best thing any ex-boyfriend would want. You don’t want, once your friendship is over, you don’t want that person to be miserable without you. You want that person to be really really happy without you. So that, ek selfish reason bhi hogya, there’s no guilt on your head. But it’s the best way to see it. That’s how I feel.”

Salman Khan’s comment resurfaces when social media is brimming with speculations about Aishwarya and Abhishek’s divorce.  Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai tied the knot in April 2007. The couple welcomed their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in November 2011. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam is reuniting with his lead pair from ‘Guru’ for another film. Notably, Aishwarya and Abhishek have starred in several films together including ‘Guru’ and ‘Raavan.’

Shoaib Malik Marries Pakistani actress Girlfriend Sana Javed amid divorce rumours with Sania Mirza.

Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik has married Pakistani actor girlfriend Sana Javed amid rumours of his divorce from Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza. Malik shared the update on Saturday through a social media post on X, (formerly Twitter). The post comprises pictures from their wedding ceremony with the caption: "And we created you in pairs."

Uploading: 981000 of 981000 bytes uploaded.

Rumours of Malik dating Javed had been doing the rounds for quite a while, before the ex-Pakistan captain fuelled speculations further when he wished the actress on her birthday last year: "Happy Birthday Buddy," along with a picture of the two.

The 41-year-old had also come out in support of Javed when the Pyaare Afzal actress was slammed for alleged rude behaviour towards juniors and make-up artists on the set. "I have known Sana Javed for quite some time now and have had the opportunity to work with her multiple times, from my personal experience I can only say that she has always been kind & courteous towards me & the people around us," Malik had tweeted back in March 2022.

Malik's wedding post came as a big surprise on either side of the border amid rumours of a divorce with Mirza. The two had gotten married in Hyderabad back in 2010 in a traditional Muslim ceremony, and later had a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. Malik and Mirza also have a son, Izhaan, born in 2018.

While there is no knowledge as to how the cracks in their relationship developed, it is believed to have happened sometime around the first half of 2021. Going by their social media presence, Sania and Shoaib would remain active on Instagram, regularly posting pictures and stories of the two of them together - roaming the world and posing on the beaches of Dubai with their kid. However, their movement on social media got limited over time. Last year, reports of Sania and Shoaib coming together for a TV show emerged, which eventually materialised as Spotify presented The Mirza Malik show, where the two of them hosted a bunch of celebrities over 40-minute long episodes.

Earlier on Wednesday, Sania had shared a cryptic post on her Instagram handle which reignited divorce speculations with Malik. Her post read: Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard. Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely."

Is this Shoaib Malik's third wedding?

On record, this is Malik's second wedding. But having said that, before getting married to Sania, Malik had reportedly married Ayesha Siddiqui, although the cricketer denied it. During his wedding ceremony with Mirza, Malik was marred by allegations that he was already married. Ayesha, her family and her sister Maha had escalated the issue on national television. As per Malik's own admission, the whole chapter involving Ayesha was nothing more than an incident of fraud.

The two got in touch over phone calls in early 2000 with Ayesha introducing herself as Shoaib's fan. As the two started speaking a lot, Malik confessed that they started developing feelings for each other but everytime Shoaib wanted to meet Ayesha, she would not make herself available. In 2002, Malik came to Hyderabad to meet her, but Ayesha told him that she had to fly to Saudi Arabia urgently. Three years later, a day before Malik and his family were supposed to meet the family, they were told that Ayesha had to leave for the USA.

Ayesh though wanted Malik to have a telephonic 'Nikah', but the cricketer did not agree and instead, insisted on having a full-fledged ceremony where the families were present and could be involved. As it turned out, the girl he saw photographs of and the one he was speaking to were two different individuals. Malik had even sent a legal notice to the father MA Siddiqui but the saga did not end there. Ayesha levelled strong allegations against Shoaib, saying that the two of them had an 'intimate relationship'. She also claimed that she was pregnant at one point in their 'marriage' which ended in a miscarriage.
