Ra 1 makes approx 14.63 crore at the box office on Day 1 of release Ra.One will not set a new first day record as the final day 1 collections coming in are well off record pace especially in North and Central India. Some circuits are 50% short of Bodyguard while others are similar. Ra.One has collected around 14-15 crore nett on its first day as per early estimates. The collections are only for its Hindi version and regional version may have added around 1 crore nett. It may turn out to be the second or third highest first day ever but around 30% less than the record of Bodyguard which released 2 months back comparing like and like and just its Hindi version. Box Office Report of Dum Maro Dum : 'Dum Maaro Dum' opens to dull houses. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. In view of the fact that it's a National Holiday, the morning and noon shows of DUM MAARO DUM should've started on 50% - 60% note at least. The terrific promotions as well as no major opposition to contend with are two factors that should have gone in its favor.
