Despite all the attention surrounding their relationship and their wedding, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh managed to tie the knot away from the public eye in a series of stunning intimate celebrations in Italy’s Lake Como. Post their Konkani and Sindhi-style weddings, both stars released two photographs from the ceremonies on their social media feeds and now, on the eve of their Bengaluru reception, the newly-weds have treated their fans all over the globe with some more inside pictures. In fact, Ranveer Singh got a little henna design on his palm for the occasion as well: a dainty diya with Deepika’s name written under it. Now, both stars’ Instagram posts share a peek inside their lakeside mehandi ceremony in Italy. Ranveer Singh’s Insta album shows a glowing Deepika getting her hands and arms painted surrounded by cosy cushions, tea roses in full bloom and of course, her closest family members.

If you had any doubts about going pastel at one of your wedding functions, let Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s brand new pictures be proof that sorbet hues are here to stay. For their mehandi ceremony, the couple coordinated their looks in elegant Sabyasachi kurta sets in shades of red and blush pink. While Singh picked a printed angarkha topped off with a maroon jacket, Padukone went with an embellished kurta set, which she wore with a matching net dupatta and a deep red shawl. The bride paired her romantic ensemble with oversized earrings and a layered maharani haar.
