Watch: First visuals/video of Deepika-Ranveer wedding in Italy

Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are married. The couple tied the knot at the Villa del Balbianello, on the shore of Lake Como in Italy. Arriving by boat, the actors and their guests made their way to a terrace at the front of the villa overlooking the lake, where the ceremony appeared to be held. A number of steps were taken to keep the ceremony private, with the couple reportedly asking guests not to share images on social media. During the service, security guards on motorboats circumnavigated the area in an attempt to keep reporters away. Padukone and Singh are said to be holding two different ceremonies over the 14th and the 15th of November, following both Southern and Northern Indian traditions. The couple has starred in a number of films together, including 2013’s “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” and this year’s “Padmaavat.” The Lake Como area, a high-class tourism destination, is home to celebrities like George Clooney and was also chosen in September by Indian couple Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, heirs of some of India’s richest families, as the location for their lavish engagement party. Villa del Balbianello has featured in movies including “Casino Royale” and “Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.”
