Agent Vinod is a spy film written and directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film produced by Saif Ali Khan under his banner Illuminati Films, features Saif in the title role along side his lady-love Kareena Kapoor. Originally set to release in December 2011, Agent Vinod was postponed following a delay in its shooting schedule and will now release on 23 March 2012.

According to Raghavan, Agent Vinod is not a remake of the 1977 action film of the same name. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he described it as "a realistic film [...with] full of action pieces, thrills and characters."
