Oscars: Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Party Together at the Pre-Oscar Bash

Even as the paparazzi is busy churning stories around the supposed “rivalry” between the Hollywood debutants, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were spotted enjoying a good time at the pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles. While Deepika made her debut with the recently released xXx: the Return of Xander Cage, Priyanka awaits the release of her Hollywood debut Baywatch.

Just hours before Oscars 2017, Bollywood export stars Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone made glamorous appearances at the pre-Oscar party in Los Angeles. And even as the paparazzi is busy churning stories around the supposed “rivalry” between the Hollywood debutants, Deepika and Priyanka decided to give some visual proof that there is no such apparent animosity - the duo was spotted enjoying a good time at the pre-Oscars party at the Madeo restaurant Sunday evening in Los Angeles.

Meanwhil, Deepika Padukone has also clarified that she is friends with Priyanka. “I have always said that she is someone I’ve known for many years. I feel extremely awkward and weird when such comparisons are made, because I don’t even believe that we are professional rivals,” she told Hindustan Times.

Deepika, who recently made her Hollywood debut in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, has so far denied attending the gala Oscars, while ‘Desi girl’ Priyanka made an announcement through Instagram that she would be attending the Academy Awards but may not be presenting an award.
