5000 Youngsters Play Live Audience For a Song In London Dreams

A Scene From London Dreams

Not many youngsters would want to miss a chance to watch Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin perform live. This is how filmmaker Vipul Shah decided to make things easier when he wanted a young audience for a live concert to be filmed on the three stars in his forthcoming film, London Dreams. Vipul put up ads in newspapers and posters in clubs inviting youngsters to watch the stars perform live. Needless to say, youngsters readily came to the shoot to see their favourite stars.

A source said, “As Vipul wanted to tap into the infectious enthusiasm of a live audience, he did not settle for junior artistes. Ads were published in local newspapers and he also put up posters in colleges and clubhouses in Pune, Kharghar and Vashi. As a result, 5000 youngsters showed up for the shooting at ND Studios, Karjat where interiors of London’s Wembley stadium was recreated.”

The song Jashn hai jeet ka is a six-minute song.

Vipul Shah confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we put up posters inviting youngsters to watch Salman and Ajay perform live on our sets. The shooting was not only a means to tap into the enthusiastic mood of a concert but was also an acid test for my music as it was a live shoot with a multi-camera set up. Once the music started, everybody got into a lively mood. The song was shot with 18 cameras and we used 54 positions. I am happy with the result.”
