The scene-stealer when it comes to calendars, the Kingfisher calendar was released in the capital on Sunday.
As year on year, the pictures on each page are riveting, glamorous and ooze sex appeal.

India's answer to the world famous Pirelli calendars is industrialist Vijay Mallya's dream project that gets hotter and hotter over the years.

Ace photographer Atul Kasbekar too was present at the function as Bollywood heartthrob Arjun Rampal unveiled the awaited calendar for 2009.

Talk of glamour.. and the annual Kingfisher calender sure gets us oodles of it.. The 2009 version is out. Sushant Mehta gets us the first look.

Six of the hottest women in the world, handpicked by the King of Good Times, Vijay Mallya himself, the Kingfisher calendar oozes glamour.

Arjun Rampal said, I don't know about how women feel. But for men, it's a treat. It puts a smile on your face in times of recession."

Lensman extraordinaire Atul Kasbekar said, "I have shot it with no gimmicks, just shot with beautiful women at a beautiful location."

Mallya summed it up thus. "It is sensuous and I am not ashamed to say that I pick the girls myself. I make the final decisions. It's very difficult to select final 12 images out of so many," the tycoon confessed.

Box office Report of Ra.One No First Day Box office Record For Ra.One. Ra 1 makes approx 14.63 crore at the box office on Day 1 of release Ra.One will not set a new first day record as the final day 1 collections coming in are well off record pace especially in North and Central India. Some circuits are 50% short of Bodyguard while others are similar. Ra.One has collected around 14-15 crore nett on its first day as per early estimates. The collections are only for its Hindi version and regional version may have added around 1 crore nett. Box Office Report of Dum Maro Dum : 'Dum Maaro Dum' opens to dull houses. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. In view of the fact that it's a National Holiday, the morning and noon shows of DUM MAARO DUM should've started on 50% - 60% note at least. The terrific promotions as well as no major opposition to contend with are two factors that should have gone in its favor.
