A total lunar eclipse on Tuesday 8th Nov 22 - the Earth, sun, and moon will align, and create a Blood Moon eclipse
Nighttime skywatchers from East Asia to North America will be treated to the rare spectacle of a "Beaver blood moon" on Tuesday, weather permitting, as the Earth, moon and sun align to produce a total lunar eclipse for the last time until 2025.
A total lunar eclipse – sometimes called a Blood Moon – is set to peak Tuesday, Nov. 8 2022 at 5:17am ET (1017 UTC). It's the last one until 2025. This event is called Blood Moon 2022 because the Moon moves into the darkest part of the Earth's shadow. When the moon is completely covered, it will take on a red hue: blocking the reflection of all direct sunlight from the lunar orb and dimming the color of the moon to a reddish hue, hence the term "blood moon", as During this time Moon appears red.
It's almost eclipse time 👀🌕
