PM Narendra Modi flags off 5th Vande Bharat train at Bangalore, South India's first Vande Bharat Express.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Karnataka's capital Bengaluru on Friday. PM Modi inaugurated mega infrastructure projects here today, including a new terminal of the city's Kempegowda International airport. South India's first Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday at Krantiveera Sangolli Railway station in Bengaluru.

Passengers at Bengaluru railway station were in for a treat as Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the fifth Vande Bharat Express train connecting Mysuru, Bengaluru and Chennai. 

It will help cut travel time between the 3 destinations.. 

Passengers who boarded the train on the inaugural run from Bengaluru railway station on Friday gave positive reviews about the train and lauded PM Modi for providing the first semi-high-speed train in South India.

He also flagged off the 'Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan' train, which is operated by Karnataka's Muzrai Department, under the 'Bharat Gaurav' train policy of Railways, reported. "It will fulfill the dream of numerous travellers intending to undertake Kashi Yatra," according to the South Western Railway.
