Shah Rukh Khan becomes first recipient of 'Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative' Award at Sharjah International Book Fair.

Shah Rukh Khan attended the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022. He was honoured with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award for his contributions to the International Icon of Cinema and Culture.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan added another feather to his hat. On Friday he was honoured with the Global Icon of Cinema and Cultural Narrative award as he attended the 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022 at Expo Centre in Sharjah, UAE. The event was attended by a large number of his fans and videos and pictures have now started surfacing online.

In a video shared by a fan club, Shah Rukh appeared at the event in an all-black avatar. He sported a backcombed hairstyle. He received the award for the act of ‘contribution to the cultural scene and reproductivity in the field of writing and creativity as per the actor’s speech at the event.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail.
