Lalu Yadav's Daughter On Donating Kidney To Him: "Mother, Father Are God" says Lalu's daughter Rohini Acharya

Rohini Acharya, daughter of Bihar politician Lalu Yadav, who will donate a kidney to her ailing father later this month, thanked people for an outpouring of supportive messages on Friday.


She shared an old photo of herself with Mr Yadav along with a few lines in Hindi on Twitter.

"My mother and father are God to me. I can do anything for them. Your best wishes have made me stronger. I express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you... Your love and respect have made me emotional. I want to thank to all of you from my heart," she wrote.

Lalu Yadav, 74, returned last month from Singapore, where he had gone for treatment. The veteran politician and three-time Bihar chief minister has been suffering from multiple health problems. He was recently advised a kidney transplant.
Lalu Yadav, currently in Delhi, is out on bail. He was jailed for over his role in fodder scam cases. He has been hospitalised several times in Delhi and Ranchi for treatment.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri died on Friday morning of a heart attack. The actor, who made everyone laugh with his comic timing in films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Malamaal Weekly, Hera Pheri on one hand and left everyone in his awe with his acting prowess in films like Ardh Satya, was 66.
