Prominent Iranian actor Taraneh Alidoosti removes mandatory headscarf in defiant protest

Famous Iranian actress has posted an unveiled photo of herself with a placard on which is written in the Kurdish language: "Woman, Life, Freedom".

Several other Iranian actresses had earlier removed their hijab in solidarity with Iranian protesters in the past two months.

She holds The slogan of the revolution "Woman Life Freedom"


Taraneh Alidoosti’s apparent act of defiance comes as weeks of protests have rocked the country since the death of Mahsa Amini. The 22-year-old Kurdish Iranian woman died in mid-September after being arrested by the morality police in Tehran for allegedly flouting the country’s strict dress rules for women.
