Jaya Bachchan held a pre-Karva Chauth mehendi bash for her friends and family at Jalsa yesterday, a day ahead of Karva Chauth. While bahu Aishwarya sent out invites, the senior Mrs Bachchan did all the planning for the event.

Among those attending the mehndi bash were Sonali Bendre and her sister-in-law Shrishti Arya, Shefali Shah, Kirron Kher, Twinkle Khanna and Gauri Khan. Aishwarya's mom Vrinda Rai was also present at the event.
