Robot (Hindi) Has Poor First Weekend Collections at the Box Office

Robot (Hindi) could not make much impact at the box office as it grossed around 7 crore nett box office collections in its opening weekend.

Robot had first day business of around 1.75 crore nett only. The film did better on Saturday and Sunday but the big jump in collections was not there. The collections were mainly from Mumbai circuit (3.25 crore nett) and CPCI (1 crore nett). The North remained very dull.


The shows of Endhiran (Tamil) were much better be it Mumbai, Delhi or Gurgaon but it was a very limited release.

Overall Robot (Hindi) has not done well especially if we look at the release which was pretty wide. It will have to depend on the weekdays and second weekend if it is to put up a decent final total.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. No One Killed Jessica has found tremendous appreciation and has Collected approx. Rs. 13.10 cr nett in its opening weekend at the box office (Fri, Sat, Sun) showing a day-wise improvement with each passing day. The Box Office breakup:- Fri: 3.25 cr, Sat: 4.60 cr Sun: 5.25 cr.
