Priyanka Chopra Takes an Auto Rickshaw

Priyanka Chopra arrived for the Pearls education promotional event in a humble rickshaw. It happened coz her car broke down en route to the Pearls charity event. Priyanka Chopra was to reach a press conference organized by the NGO 'Pearl Wave' at Mumbai's Grand Hyatt on Monday (13th dec 2010), when all of a sudden her car's tyre gave way. Priyanka reached the venue bang on time in the auto-rickshaw much to everyone's amusement.

Priyanka specifically supported Pearls Wave II - an initiative by Ashi Dua and Aliyah Rashid of Flying Unicorn Entertainment that promotes women's right to education.

At the event, the actress explained why she chose to support this particular cause and said, "the education of the girl child is something that is very close to my heart." Check out more pictures from the event below.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun.
