Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent Independence Day speech focused on key areas of national progress, economic growth, and social empowerment, while reaffirming the government's commitment to protecting the interests of farmers.

Reforms and Economic Milestones:

The Prime Minister highlighted significant government reforms from the last decade, including the removal of over 4,000 unnecessary compliances and more than 1,500 old laws. A major reform in the Income Tax Act eliminated over 280 sections. The speech also celebrated India's fast track to becoming the world's third-largest economy, noting that inflation is under control and foreign exchange reserves are strong.

Empowerment and Support: 

Modi emphasized the government's dedication to supporting various segments of society. He proudly announced that 20 million women have become "Lakhpati Didis" (financially empowered women), with the goal of reaching 30 million progressing ahead of schedule. A new employment scheme, "Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana," was also launched, promising to provide financial support to new job seekers in the private sector and create 7.5 million new employment opportunities for youth 

A Strong Stand for Farmers: 

In a significant message to the nation, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to the agricultural sector. He noted that India is a global leader in the production of milk, pulses, and jute, and the second-largest producer of various other agricultural products. To further support this sector, a new "PM Dhanyadhanya Krishi Yojana" has been launched for 100 specific districts. He concluded this part of his speech with a powerful promise to "stand as a wall" against any policy that could harm farmers, livestock owners, and fishermen
