Kangana Ranaut Unleashes on Bollywood's Male Actors, Labels Many as "Badtameez"

Kangana Ranaut calls out male actors in Bollywood for sidelining heroines, labels them 'badtameez': 'I was not okay with this...'

BENGALURU - Known for her fearless and often controversial statements, actress Kangana Ranaut has once again ignited a debate in Bollywood with her recent no-holds-barred remarks about male actors in the industry. In a candid interview, Ranaut didn't mince her words as she labeled many of her male co-stars as "badtameez" (impolite), citing issues ranging from unprofessional behavior on set to attempts at undermining their female counterparts.

Speaking her mind with her characteristic candor, Kangana alleged that a significant number of male actors in Bollywood suffer from a sense of entitlement that manifests in various forms of disrespectful conduct. According to Ranaut, these "badtameez" actors are often guilty of arriving late for shoots, displaying rude behavior towards the crew and sometimes even their female co-stars, and actively trying to sideline the women they share screen space with.

While Kangana refrained from naming specific individuals, her accusations paint a concerning picture of the power dynamics and prevalent attitudes within the Hindi film industry. She suggested that this kind of behavior is not uncommon and that it stems from a deep-seated patriarchal mindset.

Furthermore, Kangana asserted that her refusal to tolerate such unprofessionalism and mistreatment has come at a personal and professional cost. The actress, who has carved a niche for herself with strong female-centric roles and a reputation for speaking truth to power, implied that her outspoken nature has led to certain difficulties in navigating the industry and securing projects.

"I have often stood up against this kind of 'badtameezi'," Kangana reportedly stated in the interview. "And my refusal to simply accept it and stay silent has definitely created trouble for me. But I believe it's important to call out such behavior if we want to see a healthier and more respectful work environment in Bollywood."

Kangana's latest salvo is likely to stir a significant reaction within the industry and on social media. Her past criticisms of Bollywood's inner workings and power structures have often sparked intense discussions and divided opinions. This new set of allegations against male actors is expected to further fuel the ongoing conversations about gender dynamics, professionalism, and respect in the Indian film industry.

It remains to be seen whether any of the male actors she alluded to will respond to her claims. However, Kangana Ranaut's willingness to voice her experiences and observations continues to position her as a vocal and often controversial figure who is unafraid to challenge the status quo in Bollywood.
