Aamir Khan Showed Off His Drum Playing and Shayari Skills on a TV Show

Khan showed off his drum playing, and shayari reciting skills on a recent tv show

Aamir Khan impressed the audience on Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa by playing drums. The actor who learnt to play the drums for Parampara (1992) revisited the act on the sets of the show.

The highlight of the evening was his drum-playing act to the tune of Papa Kehte Hai from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. A source present on the set reveals, "The audience wasn't aware that Aamir could play drums. He had learnt to play for Parampara and continued practicing whenever he had time."

Joint effort
It was Aadesh Srivastav, one of the judges on the show, who requested Aamir to play the drums for the audience. "While Aamir played the drums, Aadesh and Shankar Mahadevan sung the song, while Pritam joined them on the guitar." The only person on the set who didn't join the encore was Himesh Reshammiya. The source adds, "Himesh sat in the audience while the rest of the judges joined Aamir on stage for his act. He didn't want to be in the same frame as everyone else."

Aamir also seemed to be in a romantic mood and dedicated a shayari to his wife Kiran Rao. The source adds that Aamir used the following lines as an ode to Kiran. "Kaash tumhare chehre par chechak ke daag hote… chaand toh tum ho hi… sitaare bhi saath hote."

Towards the end of the show, Aamir joined participant Asma and did the Aati Kya Khandala matchstick act with her.
