Pictures: Salman Khan meets his on-screen son after 9 years

Many may remember there was a phase when Salman Khan had not given a hit in a while. Then, came David Dhawan’s romance comedy Partner which featured Salman Khan and Govinda and gave Salman the much-needed hit.

Partner also starred Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. Lara played a single mother to a boy and was also Salman’s love interest. In the film, he eventually ends up bonding with her kid and in the end; he marries her and becomes the coolest stepfather to Rohan played by Ali Haji.



Cut to 2016, the kid who is all grown up now, recently met Salman Khan on the sets of Bigg Boss season 10 and it will bring back all those Partner days’ memories. Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. Ra 1 makes approx 14.63 crore at the box office on Day 1 of release Ra.One will not set a new first day record as the final day 1 collections coming in are well off record pace especially in North and Central India.
