It’ll will now be a while before you see Mango Dolly heave her chest, gyrate to music and pout teasingly, again. In fact, Quick Gun Murugun might have been the last time we saw Rambha do her thing. The 30-plus actress formally announced her marriage plans on Monday. Rambha is tying the knot with Canadabased business magnet Indra Kumar Pathmanathan with the ceremony scheduled for April 8. A close family affair, this will be followed by a reception in Chennai on April 11. The latter will be a grand affair with Rambha's friends in the film industry expected to turn up.
Finding Mr Right happened quite unexpectedly for Rambha. “I was asked if I would be brand ambassador for his (Indra) company which is involved with bathroom decors. Not in the least did I expect to become his personal brand ambassador instead,” quips Rambha.
Soon after marriage the couple might head to New Zealand for a honeymoon. “The honeymoon could possibly be in New Zealand, we haven’t sat and discussed about all that. But the way he has been keeping himself posted on my likes and dislikes, I am sure he would have guessed that it’s my favourite destination and has already made arrangements,” she says.
The bride-to-be is also being superstitious about letting out too much and goes mum on other details. “The wedding outfit is a conventional one,” is all Rambha was willing to give away.
Though film offers had dried up a while ago, Rambha is non-committal about continuing to act after turning a missus. It’s production that she may have her eye on (Rambha produced 3 Roses, a take off on the Hollywood make Charlie’s Angels). On this too, she replied by gesturing towards her brother who instantly became tight-lipped. Wedding coyness, is it?
