Thursday, 15 April 2010, Hyderabad: Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik hold a low-key Wedding Reception at the Taj Krishna Hotel. Contrary to the expectations, the much-awaited wedding reception of Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik turned out to be a low-key affair with just 500-600 guests attending the ceremony.

In total, 1000 cards were distributed. But only 500-600 people turned up at the wedding reception. Prominent guests, who attended the reception are N Chandrababu Naidu and Pakistan's Minister of Welfare and Population Firdaus Ashiq Awana.
A delegation of Pakistan also attended the wedding reception. Firdaus Ashiq Awana presented a golden crown to Sania Mirza.
Celebrities such as Raja Murad, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Neha Dhupia and Rakshanda Khan also attended the reception. Sohail Tanvir was the lone cricketer to attend Sania-Shoaib's reception at Hotel Taj Krishna.
