Sania-Shoaib Nikah (Wedding/Marriage) Today (April 12)

In another dramatic twist to the Sania Mirza's wedding with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik (Click link for all the details), the media representative issued a statement on Monday morning that the 'nikah' will be performed anytime shortly today.

But, the representative refused to disclose either the venue or the timing of the 'nikah' for security reasons. "Please don't ask details about these two subjects," she was her one-liner to repeated queries.

And, it is informed that the 'mehendi' function will be held tomorrow and on April 15 which was originally publicised as the wedding date will now only be a reception at the five-star hotel in the City.

This turn was totally unexpected for Sania's father Imran Mirza was on record only the other night stating that all the wedding ceremonies will commence only on April 13 and also the fact that confusion still prevails about whether the police had handed over the passport or not.

It may be recalled here that it was felt that passport was mandatory for 'nikah' between Sania and Malik but things are moving fast and thick from Mirzas' side, taking many by surprise.
