Anushka wore a beige, pastel floor-length gown with sequin work at the waist with minimal makeup and open hair. She paired it up with the traditional chooda and pearl stud earrings. Anushka’s wedding ring sparkled in the picture, that has been widely shared online.

Virat looked dapper in a black suit.

Virat and Anushka issued a joint confirmation of their wedding on social media on Monday. “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey,” they wrote.

The ceremony took place at a countryside resort called Borgo Finocchieto, one of the most expensive holiday properties in the world. The property is located in a small village called Bibbiano - having a population of less than 100 people. It is in the Tuscany region of Italy.

Virat and Anushka plan to host a reception in New Delhi for their relatives on December 21 which will be followed by a reception for couple’s Bollywood friends and cricketers in Mumbai on December 26.
