Border 2 Box Office: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty film has good Advance Booking

The battle for the 2026 box office has officially begun, and Border 2 is already showing signs of a historic victory at the box office.

As the highly anticipated sequel to the 1997 cult classic Border, the film has opened its advance bookings to a roaring response. Within just the first 24 hours of tickets going live, the Sunny Deol-led war epic has already sold over 22,000 tickets across India’s top national cinema chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis).

Nett Sales: Approximately ₹1.50 crore in total advance sales for the opening day so far.

Overall Pace: The film is reportedly selling nearly 2,000 tickets per hour on platforms like BookMyShow.

National Tally: Including non-national chains and single screens, the total gross has already crossed the ₹2.5 crore mark as of Tuesday morning.

Trade Insight: At this current trajectory, Border 2 is on track to challenge the opening day records of massive blockbusters like Gadar 2 and War 2. Trade analysts are now predicting a non-holiday opening in the range of ₹40–45 crore.
