2. Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express:
Significance: Strengthens the link between South India's major IT and commercial hubs in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Travel Time: Reduces the journey time between Ernakulam and Bengaluru by over 2 hours. This service has already seen massive demand, with tickets reportedly selling out within hours of booking opening.
3. Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat Express:
Significance: Becomes the fastest train on this route, connecting the national capital with key Punjab cities like Firozpur, Bathinda, and Patiala.
Travel Time: Completes the journey in just 6 hours and 40 minutes.
4. Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express:
Significance: Enhances intercity travel across central and western Uttar Pradesh, improving access to the holy city of Haridwar (via Roorkee).
