Disha Salian Death: Father's Lawyer Alleges Eyewitness Accounts Against Aaditya Thackeray

The circumstances surrounding the 2020 death of Disha Salian have taken a dramatic turn, with her father's lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, alleging the existence of eyewitnesses who saw Aaditya Thackeray, along with actors Aditya Pancholi and Dino Morea, at a party at Salian's residence on the night of her death.

Here's a breakdown of the developing situation:

Eyewitness Allegations:

According to Disha Salian's father's lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, there are eyewitnesses who saw Aaditya Thackeray, along with actors Aditya Pancholi and Dino Morea, at a party at Disha Salian's residence on June 8, 2020.

The lawyer has further alleged that these eyewitnesses claim that Disha Salian was gang-r@p*d before her de@th. These allegations drastically alter the narrative surrounding Salian's demise, which was initially ruled a suicide.

Legal Action:

The lawyer's statements accompany a fresh petition filed by Disha Salian's father in the Bombay High Court, demanding an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray and the aforementioned actors. The petition calls for a comprehensive investigation into the events leading up to Salian's death, citing discrepancies and unanswered questions.

SIT Concerns:
Ojha has also expressed a profound lack of confidence in the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe. He argues that "junior officers in the SIT cannot take action against senior police officials," raising concerns about potential bias and a lack of impartiality. Moreover, he has questioned the prolonged delay by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in filing a chargesheet in the related Sushant Singh Rajput case, further fueling suspicions of a potential cover-up.

Aaditya Thackeray's Response:
Aaditya Thackeray, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, has vehemently denied any involvement in the case, labeling the allegations as politically motivated and a continuation of what he perceives as a five-year-long campaign of "unfair targeting." He has stated his intention to address these allegations in court.

Political Repercussions:
The resurgence of the Disha Salian case has plunged Maharashtra's political arena into turmoil. Accusations and counter-accusations are flying, with political factions seizing upon the controversy to score political points. The case, already fraught with emotion and speculation, now threatens to escalate into a full-blown political crisis.

The claims made by Disha Salian's father's lawyer have added a volatile element to an already complex situation. The focus now shifts to the Bombay High Court, where the newly filed petition will be deliberated, and to the credibility of the alleged eyewitness accounts. As the investigation unfolds, the public awaits answers, demanding transparency and accountability in the pursuit of truth.

Context:

  • Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, after allegedly falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai.
  • The timing of her death, just 6 days before the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has led to numerous suspicions and demands for further investigation.

This is a developing story, and further details are expected to emerge as the legal process unfolds.

Aaditya Thackeray Denies Involvement in Disha Salian Case Claims "Unfair Targeting"

Mumbai, Maharashtra - Aaditya Thackeray, leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), has vehemently refuted allegations linking him to the 2020 death of Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He asserted that he has been subjected to "unfair targeting" for the past five years, claiming the accusations are politically motivated.

The controversy surrounding Salian's death has resurfaced, with certain political figures and sections of the media alleging foul play and implicating Thackeray. Salian died by suicide on June 8, 2020, just days before Rajput's own death.

Thackeray, speaking to reporters, dismissed the allegations as baseless and a deliberate attempt to malign his reputation. "For the past five years, I have been targeted unfairly. This is nothing new. They keep bringing up the same issues. There is no truth to these allegations," he stated.

He further emphasized that the matter has been thoroughly investigated by the Mumbai Police, who concluded that Salian's death was a case of suicide. "The police have already conducted a detailed investigation. They have submitted their report. Yet, these allegations continue to be made," he said.

Thackeray accused his political opponents of orchestrating a smear campaign against him, stating that the allegations are being used for political gain. "This is clearly political. They are trying to distract from the real issues," he added.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader's strong denial comes amid renewed calls for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the case. The issue has become a subject of intense political debate, with the opposition demanding a thorough investigation to uncover any potential discrepancies.

Thackeray's supporters have rallied behind him, condemning the allegations as a politically motivated witch hunt. They have called for an end to what they perceive as the harassment of their leader.

The controversy surrounding the Disha Salian case continues to fuel political tensions in Maharashtra. The ongoing debate highlights the sensitivity of the matter and the deep political divisions surrounding it. The case remains a focal point for both political parties and media outlets.

When will NASA astronaut Sunita Williams return to Earth?

NASA and SpaceX postponed the launch of a replacement crew of four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, delaying the long-awaited return of US astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams.

The Crew-10 mission, set to launch from Florida aboard a SpaceX rocket, was intended to replace the current crew on the ISS and facilitate the return of Wilmore and Williams, who have been stranded in space for nine months following their trip on Boeing’s faulty Starliner spacecraft.

NASA announced that the launch was called off due to a hydraulic system issue with the Falcon 9 rocket's ground support clamp arm. The space agency said that launch teams are working to resolve the issue before setting a new launch date.

When will Sunita Williams return to Earth now?

NASA has announced a revised launch target for no earlier than 7.03 pm EDT (2303 GMT) on Friday (4.33 am IST on Saturday) after postponing Wednesday’s attempt due to high winds and rain forecast along Dragon's flight path.

NASA said that if the Crew-10 mission launches on Friday, the Crew-9 mission, carrying astronauts Wilmore and Williams, is expected to depart the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday, March 19.

The mission was moved up by two weeks following calls from US President Donald Trump and his adviser, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, to bring Wilmore and Williams back earlier than originally scheduled.

Wilmore and Williams, both experienced astronauts and U.S. Navy test pilots, have seen their mission extend far beyond the planned eight-day stay on the ISS. Their Starliner spacecraft returned to Earth without them last year.

Initially, SpaceX’s Crew-10 mission was set to lift off from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral at 7.48 pm ET (2348 GMT) on Wednesday – means 6.18 am IST (Indian Standard Time) on Thursday – carrying a crew of two US astronauts, one Japanese astronaut, and one Russian astronaut.

What were Wilmore and Williams doing in ISS?

NASA said Wilmore and Williams have been engaged in research and maintenance aboard the ISS alongside other astronauts and remain safe.

During a March 4 call with reporters, Williams expressed her excitement about reuniting with her family and pets after returning home.

“It's been a roller coaster for them, probably a little bit more so than for us,” Williams said about her family. "We're here, we have a mission - we're just doing what we do every day, and every day is interesting because we're up in space and it's a lot of fun."

NASA clarified that Wilmore and Williams must remain on the ISS until Crew-10 arrives to ensure the station has enough US astronauts for essential maintenance.

The two astronauts arrived at the ISS in June as part of Boeing's first crewed test flight of the Starliner spacecraft. However, after encountering propulsion system failures in space, NASA determined that using the Boeing craft for their return would be too risky. As a result, plans were made to bring them back to Earth using a SpaceX capsule.

The Seed of Swarajya: Jijabai's Influence:

Born on February 19, 1630, in the formidable Shivneri Fort, to Shahajiraje Bhosale and JijabaiShivaji's formative years were profoundly shaped by his mother, Jijabai. In a time of political turmoil, she instilled in him a deep sense of dharma (righteousness), courage, and a burning desire for independence. Through tales of valor from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, she ignited a passion for freedom and a vision of a self-ruled Hindu kingdom. Jijabai's unwavering faith and guidance were the bedrock upon which Shivaji's remarkable journey was built.

Inspiration and Early Conquests:

Beyond his mother, Shivaji Maharaj drew inspiration from the spirit of resistance against foreign rule prevalent in the Deccan. He was influenced by the legacy of the Vijayanagara Empire and the Bhakti saints who championed social reform. His early conquests, beginning with the capture of Torna Fort at the tender age of 16, were not mere acts of aggression but expressions of his burgeoning vision. He meticulously built a loyal band of followers, recognizing talent and fostering a sense of shared purpose.

The Afzal Khan Incident: A Masterstroke of Strategy:

The Adilshahi Sultanate of Bijapur, alarmed by Shivaji's growing power, dispatched the formidable general Afzal Khan to quell the rebellion. However, the Maharaj, with his keen understanding of human nature and strategic foresight, anticipated the treachery.

Picture: Chhatrapati Shivaji Killing Afzal Khan

Under the guise of a parley, Shivaji Maharaj met Afzal Khan at the foot of Pratapgad Fort. Aware of the general's treacherous intentions, Shivaji concealed armor beneath his clothing and carried the deadly "Bagh Nakh" (tiger claws). During the embrace, Afzal Khan attempted to stab Shivaji with a hidden dagger. Shivaji, reacting swiftly, retaliated with his Bagh Nakh, fatally wounding the general. Ganimi Kawa: The Art of Guerrilla Warfare:
