Dimpy Ganguly Joining 'Desi Girl' Reality TV Show on NDTV Imagine

Rahul Mahajan's wife Dimpy Ganguly will be back on reality TV with Desi Girl.


Dimpy Ganguly started her entertainment career (and her marriage!) on reality TV. And now she's back to doing what she seems to love so much. Rahul Mahajan's wife is going to feature on the show 'Desi Girl', which follows city women handling all that comes with living in a village - we're talking milking cows and making dung cakes! Participating in the show are actresses including Monica Bedi (who used to be a close friend of Rahul), Sambhavna Seth, Ishitta Arun.


So what's Dimpy doing joining the show so late? Well, it seems she's going to get a wild card entry. And maybe give the other girls a run for their money? She's just one reality show old, but Dimpy did win that one in style, and became the dulhaniya that Rahul took home.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Box Office Report of Dum Maro Dum : 'Dum Maaro Dum' opens to dull houses. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. In view of the fact that it's a National Holiday, the morning and noon shows of DUM MAARO DUM should've started on 50% - 60% note at least. The terrific promotions as well as no major opposition to contend with are two factors that should have gone in its favor.
