It’s Sonam Kapoor’s 25th birthday today (9th June 2010), and also the day she revealed the first look of her movie ‘Aisha’, produced by dad Anil Kapoor. And it’s Sonam in an all-new chic avatar! In ‘Aisha’ she plays a modern, glam girl.

One of Sonam’s looks in the movie also has a distinctly Dubai connection. She wears a lovely sea foam gown designed by our very own Ayesha Depala!

Meanwhile, what is the birthday girl doing today? It’s going to be mostly work for Sonam, who’s shooting in Scotland with Shahid Kapoor for ‘Mausam’. But we hear a party is on the cards with the cast and crew after work wraps up. And it seems Anil Kapoor will be joining the celebrations, Sonam’s mom Sunita is already with her in Scotland. Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. The actor, who made everyone laugh with his comic timing in films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Malamaal Weekly, Hera Pheri on one hand and left everyone in his awe with his acting prowess in films like Ardh Satya, was 66. Rs. 13.10 cr nett in its opening weekend at the box office (Fri, Sat, Sun) showing a day-wise improvement with each passing day. The Box Office breakup:- Fri: 3.25 cr, Sat: 4.60 cr Sun: 5.25 cr.
