Happy days are here again for Prakash Raj. Prakash has fixed his marriage with Bollywood choreographer Pony Varma for August 24. It will be held in Mumbai.

Prakash Raj will get married to Bollywood choreographer Pony Verma on August 24th, 2010. The wedding, which is scheduled to take place at Hotel Sahara Star, Vile Parle, will be replete with Punjabi ceremonies. Later in the evening, the newlyweds will throw a reception to their family and friends at the same venue.

According to reports, Prakash Raj has purchased a house in Juhu, Mumbai, recently as his wife would be working in Bollywood. The couple, soon after the wedding, will honeymoon in Kulu Manali for a week, sources say.

Reports from Bollywood say that there would be church wedding later next month keeping in line with Prakash’s mother’s wishes. The couple will also host a reception in Hyderabad and Chennai later on

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Box Office Report of Dum Maro Dum : 'Dum Maaro Dum' opens to dull houses. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. In view of the fact that it's a National Holiday, the morning and noon shows of DUM MAARO DUM should've started on 50% - 60% note at least. The terrific promotions as well as no major opposition to contend with are two factors that should have gone in its favor.
