The two will then travel to South Africa where Virat will start prepping for the upcoming series and Anushka will spend New Year’s Eve with him.
After their hush-hush wedding in Tuscany, newlyweds Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have flown off to Rome for their honeymoon. Now, if a BollywoodLife report is to be believed, the couple had left Tuscany on Tuesday for a Roman honeymoon. Virat and Anushka left Borgo Finocchieto at around 3 on Tuesday afternoon for their roman holiday. Yes, you read it right. The newlyweds will enjoy their honeymoon in Rome.
After a dreamy wedding in world's second most-expensive holiday destination, on December 11, have a week in hand before their grand reception in Delhi on December 21. And they want to spend that time in Rome.
Virat and Anushka want to spend some quality time before they return to India for the receptions. It is only after a reception in Delhi and Mumbai that the couple will travel to South Africa where Virat has an upcoming series.
Anushka and Virat will ring in the New Year together, post which the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor will return to Mumbai to resume work. Virat will stay in South Africa for his series.
Away from the hustle bustle of Mumbai, Virat and Anushka decided to get married in Tuscany, Italy in the presence of family and close friends. After months of speculation, Virat and Anushka confirmed the news of their wedding on Monday by sharing a post on Twitter.
Virat and Anushka, or "Virushka" as their fans call them have been dating for a few years now. Their love story began way back in 2013, though the two preferred to keep their relationship out of the limelight. Their adorable photos on Instagram, and constant support for each other in tough times have earned them the title of a golden couple.
“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey,” Anushka and Virat wrote on their respective social media accounts alongside pictures of the wedding ceremony.
While Anushka looks drop-dead gorgeous in an intricate pale pink lehenga designed by ace designer Sabyasachi, Virat is the most handsome groom ever in his ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern. His attire was also designed by Sabyasachi.
Anushka will spend New Year’s Eve with him in South Africa and return in the first week of January to begin the next schedule of Anand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai. She will also start prepping for Sui Dhaaga as the shooting for the same starts in February 2018 with Varun Dhawan. Anushka will also be busy with the marketing and promotions of Pari which is releasing on 9th February.
