Stars at IPL 2010 Launch Party (View Pictures)

Bollywood was on hand to usher in the third season of the cricket extravaganza known as the Indian Premier League at a pre-IPL launch dinner party in Mumbai on Thursday. The third season kicks of today.

Rajasthan Royal's owners Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra look happy to get the party started as they pose for photographers.

Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia make a winning couple. The duo's company will be in charge of the fashion shows and the parties that will be held after every match.

Adding an extra touch of glamour is Malaika Arora Khan. Diana Hayden chose to go with a more casual look.

Another actor with vested interest in the game is Shah Rukh Khan who owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team.

Shah Rukh's better half, Gauri arrives with Hrithik Roshan's wife Suzanne and Neelam.

Bigg Boss 3 winner Vindu Dara Singh came with his wife, Dina Umarova.

Also spotted at the event are veejay Anusha Dandekar and singer/actress Sherlyn Chopra looking fetching in long and flowy gowns.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail.
