However, Anu clarified that her face was prominently displayed in close-up on hoardings across Mumbai. This widespread display led to an unexpected consequence: traffic jams.
Anu Aggarwal recalled a magazine cover shoot with Amitabh Bachchan. Despite his reputation for punctuality, he arrived 20 minutes late. "First thing he did was apologize to me," Anu revealed in an interview. "He said, 'I am so sorry, mein kya karta your face was there throughout on the road which led to traffic jams."

She further explained, "So the big poster of just my face was put up everywhere and the tag line on it was, 'This face can stop a crowd.' So, my face was already known and before that I was a model."

Despite the film's massive success, Anu also revealed that she was not paid her full fee for "Aashiqui." "I haven’t gotten the full fees for Aashiqui till today. I’ve only been paid 60% of the full fees. They still owe me the 40%. It’s okay, I earned a lot. I earned much more in modelling. I became a brand ambassador," she shared.
"Aashiqui" went on to become a cult classic, celebrated for its timeless music, which became the best-selling Bollywood soundtrack album of all time.
