Operation Sindoor All-Party Delegations - Explain India's Firm Stance Against Te**orism.

India's United Front: The Global Outreach of Operation Sindoor All-Party Delegations.

In the aftermath of the horr*fic Pahalgam ter**r attack on April 22, 2025, which tragically claimed 26 lives, India swiftly launched "Operation Sindoor" - a decisive military response targeting terrorist infrastructure across the border. Beyond the immediate military action, the Indian government has initiated a robust diplomatic offensive, deploying seven multi-party delegations to 33 global capitals. This extensive outreach aims to present a united national front against cross-border terrorism and articulate India's firm new stance.

Operation Sindoor: A Calibrated Response

"Operation Sindoor" was conceived as a precise and calibrated military response to the terrific act of terror in Pahalgam, where Hindu tourists were targeted. The operation involved precision strikes on known terrorist bases and launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). As emphasized by Indian officials, this was an act of retribution, not the initiation of a broader conflict. India's objective was clear: to impose a significant cost on those perpetrating cross-border terrorism and to establish a "new normal" where such acts will no longer go unpunished.

A striking aspect of Operation Sindoor was the demonstrated efficacy of India's indigenous defense technologies, including advanced air defense systems, drones, and guided munitions. This not only ensured operational success but also underscored India's growing self-reliance in military capabilities. While Pakistan's subsequent provocatory actions led to a brief 88-hour conflict, India maintained that its initial response was measured and responsible, aimed solely at degrading the ecosystem of terror.

The All-Party Delegation: A Unified Voice for India.

To ensure a comprehensive and politically unified message to the international community, the Indian government constituted seven all-party parliamentary delegations. Comprising 51 political leaders from across the political spectrum - including members of both ruling and opposition parties, as well as former ministers- and 8 former ambassadors, these delegations are undertaking a targeted diplomatic mission to key global capitals.

The selection of 33 countries is strategic, including all 15 current United Nations Security Council (UNSC) members, five future UNSC members, and other influential nations. This targeted outreach aims to pre-emptively counter any false narratives propagated by Pakistan, especially as Pakistan remains a UNSC member for the next 17 months and may attempt to use this platform to further its agenda.

Key Messages on the Global Stage:

The delegations are tasked with conveying several crucial messages:

Zero-Tolerance for Terrorism: India's unwavering commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and its state sponsors. The message is unequivocal: there can be no distinction between terrorists and the countries that harbor and support them.

Accountability for Pahalgam:
Detailed briefings on the horrific Pahalgam attack, highlighting Pakistan's direct links to the perpetrators and the intent behind targeting civilians based on their religious identity.

A "New Normal" in Response: Explaining India's changed approach, characterized by swift, decisive, and precise retaliation against cross-border terrorism, as demonstrated by Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan's Terror Nexus:
Presenting a documented history of Pakistan's consistent patronage of terrorism, referencing past incidents like the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the sheltering of Osama bin Laden, and emphasizing Islamabad's failure to dismantle terror infrastructure.

India's Developmental Focus:
Contrasting India's commitment to economic growth and development with Pakistan's persistent revisionist agenda that seeks to acquire Indian territory through acts of terror.

Global Solidarity Against Terror:
Urging the international community to stand in solidarity against the global menace of terrorism, emphasizing that selective silence or politicization of terror narratives undermines collective security. Some delegations are even drawing parallels with challenges faced by their host nations, such as South Korea's experience with North Korea.

Prominent leaders like Shashi Tharoor (Congress MP), Supriya Sule (NCP-SP MP), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK MP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JD(U) MP), Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena MP), Baijayant Panda (BJP MP), and Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP MP) are leading these delegations, engaging with political leaders, government officials, civil society, think tanks, media, and the Indian diaspora in their respective destinations.

Through this comprehensive and united diplomatic offensive, India seeks to ensure that the global community fully understands the imperative behind "Operation Sindoor" and reaffirms its commitment to a coordinated international response against the scourge of terrorism.
