New Delhi, India - Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor was present with her children, Samaira and Kiaan, today in New Delhi to attend the last rites of her ex-husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur. Kapur, 53, tragically passed away in London on June 12, 2025, following a sudden heart attack.
Karisma, visibly somber and dressed in a simple white ensemble, arrived at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground accompanied by her daughter Samaira and son Kiaan, both also in white, signifying mourning. The family's presence underscored a difficult but necessary coming together to bid farewell to Kapur.

The funeral ceremony, held this evening, saw close family members and friends gather to pay their last respects to the prominent industrialist. Sunjay Kapur's sudden demise has sent shockwaves through his family and the business community.
Sunjay Kapur's current wife, Priya Sachdev, his mother Rani Surinder Kapur, and his children with Priya, Safira and Azarias, were also present, along with other relatives. The family had previously issued a note outlining the funeral and prayer meeting details, notably including Samaira and Kiaan among the signatories.
Also seen arriving in Delhi to offer their condolences and support were Karisma's sister Kareena Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan, demonstrating solidarity with the grieving family.
Earlier in the day, Karisma and her children were seen departing from Mumbai, making their way to the capital to be part of the solemn occasion.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur were married in 2003 and had Samaira and Kiaan before their divorce was finalized in 2016. Sunjay later remarried Priya Sachdev in 2017. Despite their separation, the family has come together to mourn the loss of Sunjay Kapur, highlighting the complex bonds that endure even after divorce, especially for the sake of their children.
A prayer meeting in Sunjay Kapur's memory is scheduled to be held on June 22, 2025, at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi.
