Kalki Koechlin in Sanjay Leela Bhansali Film, My Friend Pinto Opposite Pratik Babbar

Kalki Koechlin has bagged the female lead role in My Friend Pinto. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali production stars Prateik Babbar and is directed by Raghav Dar. This is the Second big Film she has signed After Zoya Akhtar’s Running With The Bulls which stars Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol.


Apparently, the producer and director were looking for a fresh face. Raghav had been impressed with Kalki after seeing her in Dev D and he suggested her name to Sanjay. Sanjay agreed and after a screen test, selected her for the film. Kalki will be paired opposite Prateik.

Shooting of My Friend Pinto begins on May 20 2010. Kalki is paired opposite Pratik while Manisha Koirala has a pivotal role.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. Ra 1 makes approx 14.63 crore at the box office on Day 1 of release Ra.One will not set a new first day record as the final day 1 collections coming in are well off record pace especially in North and Central India.
