Reason Why Freida Pinto Missed Cannes Film Festival 2010

'Slumdog Millionaire' star Freida Pinto, who was supposed to be part of the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival, could not attend the event owing to shooting commitments.


The actress was expected to walk the red carpet with the stars of her film 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger' directed by Woody Allen. Freida Pinto unfortunately could not attend the Cannes film festival as she was shooting for 'Immortals' in Canada. Her film 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger' directed by Woody Allen was premiered at Cannes this year.

'Immortals' directed by Tarsem Singh is slated to release in 2011. The Cannes Film Festival was held between May 12 and May 23 2010.

Yamla Pagla Deewana First Day Friday Business at the Box office: Yamla Pagla Deewana had a good start on an all India basis and done very well on its first day despite underperformance at multiplexes in most parts of the country.
