3 Alia Bhatt films in the top 5: IMDb’s list of 2016’s top Indian films out

IMDb, the world’s biggest movie website, has released their list of the top Indian movies of 2016. Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink and Akshay Kumar’s Airlift led the pack.

The list, like the one IMDb released for international films on December 20, is based on the number of visitors these films’ pages attracted on their site.


The rest of the top 5 is made up of Dear Zindagi, Udta Punjab and Kapoor & Sons, which all star Alia Bhatt interestingly.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail.
