Karan says sorry To Govinda

 JUST two days after Govinda expressed displeasure over not being invited to Karan Johar's chat show, the filmmaker has apologised, saying it would be an honour to host the veteran actor on his purple couch.

"There was talk of getting him on the show in between, but things did not happen then. We had thought about it. It would be an absolute honour and privilege to have him on the show. My apologies that he hasn't been (on the show) and he felt bad about it. There is no intention to hurt him. He is a terrific artiste and a great movie star. I will take a note and call him and I hope he accepts my invitation," Karan said.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Ra 1 makes approx 14.63 crore at the box office on Day 1 of release Ra.One will not set a new first day record as the final day 1 collections coming in are well off record pace especially in North and Central India. Some circuits are 50% short of Bodyguard while others are similar. Ra.One has collected around 14-15 crore nett on its first day as per early estimates. The collections are only for its Hindi version and regional version may have added around 1 crore nett.
