WATCH: Ranveer Singh to resume shooting for ‘Padmavati’ in January 2017

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmavati' is one film that everyone is looking forward to in 2017. With a star cast like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor and a celebrated filmmaker like Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the helm, everyone has high expectations from this period drama.



Shahid Kapoor yesterday posted a sunkissed selfie on his Instagram saying that he has wrapped up the first schedule of the film and now Ranveer Singh has said that he'll resume shooting for 'Padmavati' in January 2017.

The 'Befikre' actor was asked at the Mumbai airport about resuming the shoot for the film to which he said, "It is a large-scale production, not a small film and I will resume the shoot for 'Padmavati' in January".

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Criminal Case Booked Against Shoaib Malik, Charged With Cruelty and Cheating

HYDERABAD: The Shoaib Malik-Ayesha Siddiqui tangle turned murkier on Sunday with the latter slapping serious charges against the Pakistani cricketer with the police. Acting on the complaint filed late in the afternoon, the Banjara Hills police registered cases against Malik under sections 498A (subjecting married woman to cruelty), 420 (cheating) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. Police said Ayesha has alleged that Shoaib married her, then harassed her over petty issues and later denied the nikah ever took place. Now, the complaint says, Shoaib is trying to marry again without her consent. Ayesha also alleged that Shoaib had offered her $1 million to keep the wedding under wraps and threatened to take her life in case she went to the media. A copy of the nikahnama was attached to the complaint, which was signed by Ayesha and brought to the police by her father. Arshad Warsi reacts to the trailer of ‘Jolly LLB 2’

Soon after the success of 'Jolly LLB' the makers had announced a sequel to the movie. While Arshad Warsi was to play the protagonist in the sequel, the makers later replaced him with Akshay Kumar as they wanted a bigger star this time.
