Pictures: Shraddha Kapoor prepares for her role in ‘Half Girlfriend’

Shraddha Kapoor , who plays a rich girl Riya Somani in her upcoming film 'Half Girlfriend', says it has been an amazing and special experience for her. However, the journey was not easy for the actress. Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha essay the role of basketball players in the film and were required to get trained in the sport to perfection.


Interestingly, Arjun is already a basketball pro, but Shraddha picked up the game with her consistent dedication. According to reports, director Mohit Suri revealed that Shraddha would practice on the court for hours every day throughout the month until she got it right.

Directed by Mohit Suri, the upcoming romantic-comedy also stars Arjun Kapoor. 'Half Girlfriend' marks third collaboration between Shradhha and Suri, they were previously worked together in 'Aashiqui 2' and 'Ek Villain'.

Salman Khan Issued Supreme Court Notice On Acquittal In Chinkara Poaching Case Actor Salman Khan was today issued notice by the Supreme Court on an appeal by the Rajasthan government challenging his acquittal in two poaching cases. In July, the Rajasthan High Court found the 50-year-old actor not guilty of killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara in two separate incidents in 1998 while he was shooting a film in the desert state. The state government challenged his acquittal; it wants him to be imprisoned to serve the rest of his sentence - after being convicted in 2007 for hunting down and killing the chinkaras, he was awarded a one-year prison term and a five-year prison term respectively. He then spent a week in jail in Jodhpur before being granted bail. While finding him not guilty, the High Court had said there was no evidence to prove that the animals who were found dead were shot by Mr Khan's licensed gun. Box Office Report of Dum Maro Dum : 'Dum Maaro Dum' opens to dull houses. Despite the fact that Friday is a National Holiday, DUM MAARO DUM opened below the mark at the box office in the first and afternoon shows on friday morning at major centres of the country. Of course, the opening trends of DUM MAARO DUM were better than Abhishek Bachchan's last release GAME, but that's no compliment. The occupancy at multiplexes was slightly better, especially at metros, in 30% to 35% range, while single screens were between 10% - 15% - 20%. The average opening, thus, stands at 25% - 30%, which is poor. In view of the fact that it's a National Holiday, the morning and noon shows of DUM MAARO DUM should've started on 50% - 60% note at least. The terrific promotions as well as no major opposition to contend with are two factors that should have gone in its favor.
